BLURB:
Beth Brown doesn’t believe in premonitions. But her recent dream feels too real to ignore: a commercial airliner is hijacked, and a handsome passenger is shot dead. Beth hasn’t met the mystery man in her dream; she would never forget a gorgeous face like his. But she can’t deny the bizarre connection she feels. Now awake, and unable to allow for the violence she’s convinced is impending, she races to the airport…and comes face to face with the man of her dreams.
Zane Winters lives for his job, using his uncanny psychic powers to carry out missions for elite SEAL Team 7. Yet the constant adrenaline highs can’t drown out the numbness seeping into his life as he yearns to find a woman he can trust. All that changes when he meets a beautiful stranger who sets his soul on fire—and somehow knows he’s about to die.
To thwart the global crisis the hijacking will unleash, Beth and Zane join forces. But even amid the danger, they can’t deny the powerful force drawing them together. Is it merely attraction…or destiny?
MY REVIEW:
This book was released in 2012 so it’s a fairly old book but I’m just now stumbling across this gem. This book was action packed from start to finish! I was quickly drawn into the plot and I could not put the book down! The hero, Zane is a tough Navy Seal and is as no nonsense as they come. He was hot, alpha, a tad jerky, foul mouthed and a whole lot of bad ass and along with his psychic abilities, he made for a very sexy and very well developed hero and I loved every minute of it.
The Chemistry between Zane and Beth was undeniable and I really got a sense of them belonging together. There was never a time when I questioned Zane’s love for Beth and even though she denied it, it was easy to see how much Beth was falling for Zane. The book makes for a perfect set-up for the other characters to have books of their own. I loved all of the characters in the book as well as Trish McCallan’s writing style and ability to tell a story, make her characters real and provide the reader with a non-stop action packed ride that they will think about long after they finish the book. I will be definitely looking forward to more books by Ms. McCallan! I highly recommend this book!

BLURB:
Virgil Skinner served fourteen years for a murder he didn't commit. He's finally been exonerated, but he can't escape the gang he joined in order to survive. They'll do anything to keep him from telling what he knows. And if they can't get to Virgil they'll go after his sister and her kids.
The California Department of Corrections needs someone to infiltrate another gang, one that's taking control of the state's most notorious supermax. Virgil agrees to do it under an alias—in exchange for his sister's protection.
Chief Deputy Warden Peyton Adams is opposed to having Virgil in her prison. How will she protect him if things go bad? Besides, she's far too attracted to him; she might even be falling in love with him. That makes her all the more desperate to keep him safe—and it gives him someone else to lose.
MY REVIEW:
This is yet another book that’s fairly old that I’m just now having the pleasure of reading and I must say...this is one of the best books I have read in a long time!! I was completely drawn into the characters and I rooted for them from beginning to end. I loved the fact that the hero and the heroine were an "unlikely" couple. That made the story very compelling IMO...I wanted so bad for them to fall in love and finally have the happiness that both of them longed for.
I completely fell in love with Virgil. He was the perfect mix of bad boy, sweetheart and tortured hero. He captured my heart to the point of me wanting my very own Virgil. :). Peyton is my "hero" when it comes to heroines. She was smart, intelligent, successful, beautiful and sophisticated but at the same time, she had her flaws and weaknesses. With all of the backlash against beautiful heroines lately, it was refreshing to come across one that was beautiful but yet humble. I also fell in love with Virgil’s best friend in the book, Pretty Boy. He nearly stole my heart away from Virgil and that’s saying a lot. I hope he has his own book coming out soon because I really need to see more of him.
The only thing that I can say is that I would've liked to see more of Virgil and Peyton together in an intimate setting so that there could have been more development in their relationship but that was a minor tiff. The story was so good I didn't even mind the fast pace of their romance at all. This was a very good book that has everything you need, romance, action, danger, suspense, grittiness and just enough steam. I highly recommend it and I’m definitely reading the rest in the series however late I am in doing so. ;)

Amazons... Morgan, an outcast searching for answers that will unravel the mystery that led to her exile from the only family she's ever known.
Vikings... Dirk, a renowned courtesan in the city of sin, forced to choose between the life he has and what could be.
Nemesis... A group of powerful Mythics determined to find out who is behind the rash of random transformations, before chaos grips the city.
Together, they must stop what's coming, before what happens in Vegas…changes everything.
MY REVIEW:
This book came out in 2012 and I was curious about it. I struggled with this book. I had a hard time figuring out who where the main characters were and who they were fighting against. The two main characters Morgan and Dirk traded chapters and it showed what was going on according to them.
I really did like the fight scenes. They were very detailed and I could visualize the scenes and the treatments that then took place. Also the secondary characters added to the story and brought the family aspect out.

When Melanie Potter walked into the university library two years after graduation, she never expected to run into Professor Everett. So when he surprises her in the stacks, looking just as handsome as she remembered, she can’t deny her obvious attraction to the once forbidden man she’s wasted years dreaming about.
Tristan Everett knows having a drink with a former student, especially one as enticing as Melanie Potter, is a mistake. But he takes one look at her and knows he has to have her. He makes it clear from the start, he isn’t looking for anything serious, which is just fine by Melanie, who is only in town for five days.
But as they embark on an intense affair, they both have to ask: will five days really be enough?
MY REVIEW:
First off, let me say this: I read a lot of erotica. Like any other genre out there, you have to wade through the bad sometimes to find the rare jewel. The Stacks is one of those jewels. It’s an example of erotica done RIGHT, and I, for one, am extremely glad to have gotten a chance to read this fascinating, steamy little story.
It follows the story of Melanie, a 20-something college student, who has just left a passionless long term relationship and is heading toward a brighter future at Princeton. Along the way, she stops by her old alma mater and it’s there, while getting a head start on research in the campus library, she runs into Tristan, her former professor. Her former… HOT professor.
Passions escalate, mutual attractions collide, and things go from hot to scorching with the introduction of a dare that changes everything for the pair. Chock full of steamy, explicit language that flirts the line between deliciously descriptive and carnally coarse, this was a fantastic read from start to finish. I’m definitely going to keep my eyes open for more from Katie Devoe, because she DEFINITELY knows how to spin a sexy tale that keeps you reading from start to finish!

Dylan goes on the vacation of a lifetime to find herself. She is confronted with a vampire, Nico, who catches her and her heart by surprise. Before she knows it, she is thrown into the immortal world in Florence, where she is in the midst of an exhilarating love affair and vampire politics at their worst. Another vampire wants to claim her and she must receive a mark in order to keep her safe. Meanwhile, she finds it hard to be the only mortal one.
MY REVIEW:
When I read the first sentence of the book I have to be hooked or it won’t be of interest to me. I was extremely hooked and I couldn't wait to find out what happened to Dylan next! Yeah, her name is Dylan, at first I thought it was a male but the name change is pretty cool for a chick! Nico, is extremely HOT for a vampire. Why? Because he has a sexy accent! I mean, who doesn't love a man with an accent?
I was thrilled when Nico didn't kill Dylan because let’s face it, the story wouldn't have been anything without Dylan. The vampires are secretive as they should be and the tale of their ancestry was awesome!
I was extremely pleased that I was given the opportunity to review Shannon Bell’s book The Mortal One. If you are looking for romance, action, suspense, this book has it all and you will NOT be disappointed in reading this amazing book! The book was well written, and I definitely give it a 5 star review!

Evelyn Graham-Frost had it all: a job she loved, a daughter she adored, and a life far away from the pain and bitterness of her childhood. Then in the flash of an eye, everything disappears when a career-ending fall from her world champion show horse, Grey Cliffs’ Snowman, lands Evelyn on the ground and jobless.
When the offer to return to her childhood home as the new trainer at Grey Cliffs presents itself, she is torn between the life she’s built, and the love of the man she ran away from ten years previous. Going back means giving her daughter a chance to connect with the father she’s never met, but it also means facing again the horror of what happened that long ago evening.
Unsure if those old demons will help with the healing her body and soul are going through, it may take some convincing before Evelyn realizes the only path into her future lies straight though the shadows in the past.
MY REVIEW :
This book came out last month ago. As I started this book I was drawn into the relationships between Evelyn and past boyfriend Trey. Also the surrounding characters helped form a great beginning, middle and end.
I really loved this book. This is story about two people having to face the past, forgive the mistakes and move on the future. This book is real love story about relationships. It shows that relationships are not always pretty or go the way you want it. This story drew me in and I couldn't put it down until I got to the end of it.

Melanie Potter never expected the man of her dreams, Tristan Everett, would ever be attracted to her, much less that anything would happen between them. But a chance encounter in the library proved her wrong. When Tristan asked for five days of submission, Mel agreed without a moment’s hesitation.
But five days wasn’t enough to satisfy either of them.
While Mel is working in Princeton for the summer, Tristan is in New York. No one said long distance would be easy, but they never expected the torture of being apart. Now they have to ask themselves: is it just sex or something more? Is it worth finding a way to make it work after Mel begins her PhD in the fall?
MY REVIEW:
I was so excited to see part 2 pop up for review because it gave me a chance to finish the story. And what a finish it was! Watching these two come to the realization that this relationship means much more to both of them than either of them initially expected was just delightful.
Melanie and Tristan’s entanglement is a scorcher that continues to burn up the pages and makes my mind tingle in the naughtiest of ways. There’s even a dose of outside the sheets drama in the form of a former lover whose attentions make both Melanie and Tristan understand what they really want. This is an example of the kind of erotica I love to narrate! Intense and delicious with a satisfying resolution that leaves me eager to get my hands on more of Ms. Devoe’s work! 5 stars!

MY REVIEW:
This wasn't a book I would have normally read, but I did find myself wanting to find out what would happen. The beginning was confusing, as the main character seemed unsure of what was going on in his life. He would bounce between what was really happening and either his past or dreams. Once a few things were revealed to the character, the story made more sense. There were many difficulties and struggles that changed the direction I thought the story would go, and the ending was not expected. The characters were well described, and easy to picture.

FINAL STRAW
Dishing out bad news is Jackie Parker's job. So when her boss grabs her assets one time too many, she serves him her notice and hopes he chokes on it. There must be a better way for a certified process server to make a living in Miami than working for a lousy lecherous lawyer. Whatever Jackie decides, her number one priority is to spend time with her husband, Luke, preferably without his brother Logan--AKA the Dark Prince.
FINAL WARNING
Despite Logan's objections, Luke asks her to join forces in their own property management team, Damaged Goods. Drawing the line between professional and personal lives proves challenging, especially when Logan serves her an ultimatum--tell Luke the truth about what really happened the night they first met, or he will. Sexual harassment is looking better and better.
FINAL NOTICE
Fester Gomez is three months behind on the rent for his pricey South Beach condo and Damaged Goods is on the job. Either they convince the tenant to pay up or he'll face eviction. The simple task turns deadly when the team discovers Gomez missing and a Jane Doe slowly decomposing in his bathtub. Serving a killer up to justice, wrestling family secrets--it's just another day on the job for Damaged Goods.
MY REVIEW:
This book has just recently come out and I was curious about it. As I started this book I was thrown into a mystery. I enjoyed how the main the character had to juggle life and career with her crazy family and one big secret. I also enjoyed the modern flare that was incorporated in the story. This book also keeps you guessing. I kept guessing trying to figure out who did it. It was a modern mystery with a touch of romance. I enjoyed this book very much.

She's serving up mayhem in the Magic City....

Author: R. Holland

What would you do if you woke up one morning and the world was changed, never to be the same again?
Analisa Still has just found out that everything she thought she knew about her life was a lie. To make matters worse, her parents have taken her to a compound for training. Total strangers seem to know
more about who she is, what she is, and what she was born to do than she does. And someone at the compound wants her dead. When the compound is attacked and the world overrun with vampires (and
something else), Ana is forced to team up with the unlikeliest of allies.
Thinking her betrothed is dead, Ana soon falls in love with one of her vampire comrades all while vowing to kill the vampires that killed her sister.
MY REVIEW:
This book reminded me in some ways of a very shortened version of Twilight. Ana's life changes very dramatically in a matter of hours. She has to accept her new life and warms up to Eric rather quickly. It is a novella, so I went into the book knowing there was going to be some things saved for the second story.
I would read more by R. Holland. She overall did a great job at setting up the scenes and describing the characters. Even with the story being a fantasy, it made sense. If you like vampires stories, this is a good one to try.

Now Danton is faced with the biggest decision of his life. Accept Love for who she really is, or walk away from her forever.
MY REVIEW:
I very much enjoyed this book. The two main characters Love and Danton met at wedding that she Love ended up becoming apart of. This is when the two cross paths and Love realizes that Danton is her true love. It was well done being able to read how each character felt and what they were going through hand feeling as the relationship progressed.
There were several background characters that helped Love and Danton travel through their love relationship. Danton had to wrestle with Love’s past and figure out that true love conquers all. I look forward the rest of this series.

What happens when you put a battered and terrified woman on the run
with a troubled and determined Master? A love story of a lifetime is
born.
Layla...
I could tell you that it all worked out. I could tell you that in the end I made peace with my life and the events that took place before that dreadful day. A day that in my dreams had been the happiest in my life. Our wedding day was the day Kevin, my love, my life, my friend, and my husband died. In him a monster was born. I could tell you that it wasn’t that bad, but that would be a lie. It was horrible. Every day I woke to new fears; and every night I was thankful for the few hours of peace from him. He made my life hell. I thought it was his mission. If I had only known what was really going on. That he was suffering from his own hell. He brought me into his, and changed me. I was no longer the innocent and naive Layla he married. I became a fighter, and for that I am thankful.
Kevin....
Layla had been the light of my life from the time I was a young man. She was the one person that kept me going. After I left my family, faked my death, and killed my brother Josh, I thought I would be free. I wasn’t. I was still haunted by him, my own father. The things he did… you wouldn’t want to know. Layla kept me centered. I thought if I could just see her one more time; if I could just hold her once more. Problem is when I left she was just a little girl, and now years later it has turned into an obsession. I want her, I want to mark her body with my pain, make her feel what I feel, so then we can feel together. It’s good she doesn’t remember me. I am going warp every one of her happily ever after fantasies. The girl never chooses the villain, but she will if she thinks I am the hero.
Josh...
Losing my brother had been the most painful event of my life, or so I thought. I didn’t count on her showing up. I figured she had disappeared along with our life from Sacramento. I hadn’t counted on seeing her again, the girl who has haunted my dreams all my life. The one thing I know I can’t have. I can’t be trusted. I made one wrong decision, and for that Jamie died. I killed my brother Jamie by not following my instincts; I stayed in the house a minute too long. He came back for me. He came to save me and he died. She will die too if I can’t save her.
MY REVIEW:
The book switched between three people's perspectives, and at first it was hard to make the connection to the three. I felt sorry for Layla, the main woman in the story. She dealt with many different kinds of abuse, and Faye did a great job with the details. Both men in the story also had a dark past, and more on that will probably be in the next book. The story ended too soon for me, otherwise it might have gotten a 5 star rating. I was left wanting to know more, and will be
on the look-out for the next book.

Will Joanna be able to handle the truth when she finds out who Nathan really is or will it end in further heartache?
MY REVIEW:
This book is a connected series and it is important that you read this one first. This book is about the relationship between Nathan a CIA agent and Johanna regular civilian. There relationship is like a roller coaster it has its ups and downs. Because of Nathan’s CIA relationship it puts Johanna is danger and exposes secrets in her life.
I enjoyed reading this book. This book kept me on my toes. There was always something happening to character and you never new what was going to happen. It did become a bit predictable. It made me smile when the couple went through normal things that couples have to deal with. The ending of the book left me hanging and I hope there is a third book in the series.

Jessica Channing's big city life should be more exciting than sixty-hour work weeks and popcorn nights with her girlfriends, but it's not. She has worked hard fulfilling her role as a child prodigy and graduating college years before her peers. She's the good girl, the brilliant girl.
Unfortunately, she's also the dateless young woman.
That all changes with one phone call. Jess's rigid, predictable life upends when she must visit a small, obscure town to deal with a relative's death. This isn't just any little speck of a town, though. Long lost memories come crashing down on Jess's world when two men, the Blackard brothers, seem to lure her in.
Dylan is cover model handsome, and pursues Jess the minute she comes to town. Then there is tall, dark and gorgeous Carson, who hides his own secrets behind his hardened reserve.
For someone who has been governed by her own obsessive behaviors and fears, Jess lets her guard down and jumps at the opportunity to have an affair with a man she actually finds attractive for a change.
There's just one problem. Jess discovers that she can't have a simple romantic fling because true passion does indeed come with some very big strings attached to it. She will have to own up to her own truths about love and face the two extraordinary men; both troubled in their own ways and both determined to have her.
MY REVIEW:
There’s not too many books that can keep me glued to my Kindle until it is done, but this book was one that I could not put down. The characters were great and well described. Wolfe put many layers and details in the character development which created a very interesting story. I can’t wait to read the second book.

Inspired by the legend of the femme fatale goddess, Artemis, WOLF SIRENS is a compelling gothic masterpiece about forbidden love in the underworld.
MY REVIEW:
I enjoyed this book. This book is a series and this is the first one. The main character Lila had to overcome a new school, family issues, love and loss. It was good thought of the author to show the maturation process of Lila and her supporting characters. It made the story better.
As the story progressed the Lila finds out more about herself and what she is to become. This story kept a reader’s attention and you didn’t know what was going to happen next or how the characters would react.

Rebecca Jordan’s life is simple, disciplined and uncomplicated, at least on the surface. Then she meets a handsome stranger/secret admirer named Michael Vale one fateful late night at a bookstore café. As a focused but struggling photographer with a passion for art, her outwardly happy world is turned upside down during this life-changing encounter when she quickly realizes she has met her soul mate. The
undeniable attraction between them and their intense, immediate connection seem picture perfect as they discuss the shop’s local artwork, until Rebecca abruptly ends the chance meeting with no explanation.
Betraying Brett, her loyal, loving boyfriend is something she can never bring herself to do. Driven by a strong moral code and molded by divorced parents and a tumultuous childhood, she struggles to stay away from Michael, but fate and circumstance intervene, bringing them back together time and time again. As much as she resists, there is no denying her true feelings for him and the simple fact that
Michael understands her in a way Brett never has. Michael proves to be everything she’s ever wanted, but remains just out of her reach.
Behind the Glass tells the story of Michael and Rebecca’s extraordinary love and the many unconventional stages their relationship must go through. Their morals and their faith in true love and in each other will be put to the test as they learn that meeting one’s soul mate does not come without obstacles.
MY REVIEW:
Unlike many romance novels published these days, Behind the Glass caused me as a reader to think deeply about the emotions and situations presented in this novel. The writing style reminded me of Nicholas Sparks, the story built as did their relationship, but it stayed pretty clean. Rebecca has many hard choices in the book, and the end was just as I had expected. It was very easy to connect to the characters and they felt real. I highly recommend this book.

This book is good book to read. The main character Beth has the worst thing in the world happen to her life. She then works through her grief and falls in love again. Beth and other main character Kyle work together to figure out life, love and grief.

After Beth’s husband dies responding to a fire department call, she fears finding new love. But sparks fly with a new member of the fire department, and Beth has to decide if she can handle a new relationship. Will she take the chance on another fireman?
MY REVIEW:
This book is good book to read. The main character Beth has the worst thing in the world happen to her life. She then works through her grief and falls in love again. Beth and other main character Kyle work together to figure out life, love and grief.
I enjoyed this book due to the fact the characters had shared life experiences and story progressed how a normal couple would. Also, it kept me on my toes not knowing what was going to happen next. I loved how everything in the wrapped up and gave the story and ending.

Dylan Blackard is back in town and certain everyone knows his secrets.
Putting away his notorious reputation as the wild guy with a womanizing past, he’s now on a new path, wanting to be the good guy his brother can stop worrying over. As long as he gives up his old vices—including women—he can keep himself on the straight and narrow and finally live up to everyone’s expectations.
However, obsessing about his lack of self-control is making Dylan one humorless, cranky hermit. That all changes, though, when his brother hires a new employee, the stunning Emma Keller, who will be sharing an office with him and all of his tightly wound nerves.
Emma, a spunky young woman from New Jersey, isn’t about to feel sorry for Dylan and his situation. She is beyond distracting to him, and that is enough to turn his emotional balancing act upside down. Not only is she intelligent, and a smart aleck, she's also very determined to pull the sexy Dylan Blackard out of his self-imposed isolation.
From the moment he meets her, he feels alive again, but Emma doesn’t come as a gift with a pretty bow; she comes with major baggage—a family embedded in its own tumultuous history.
Will Emma be the tipping point that causes Dylan to regress into his past destructive behaviors…or will he actually pursue her for keeps?
MY REVIEW:
This was a great follow-up to the first book, Fearsome, but could be read independently. The story is full of action, both in the bedroom and otherwise. Dylan and Emma have their own secrets and rocky pasts that come out in this book. I really enjoyed Emma’s character. She had a lot of fight but had a gentle side too. It was an enjoyable story and I strongly recommend reading it.

MY REVIEW:
This book is like James Bond with a family twist. The two characters Nathan and Joanna are going through life full of secrets. Nathan is torn whether to tell Joanna all of the truth or just some of it. Joanna is trying to get through life but learning the truth keeps shaking thing up. Both characters working on their future together, but they have to deal with the past first.
This book took me sometime to wrap my head around. I enjoyed the aspect of the thrill CIA life and all the secrecy that comes with it. Also, I enjoyed how the story progressed and I never knew what was going to happen next. This book kept me on my toes and wondering what is next.
